Independence Day Celebration - 15.08.2024

The Independence Day celebration at our school on 15th August 2024 was a
momentous occasion that filled everyone with pride and patriotism. The day
began with the unfurling of the national flag, followed by a soul-stirring rendition
of the national anthem, setting the tone for the event.
Students took the stage to emphasize the significance of this day, reminding
everyone of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the importance of
preserving the values of freedom and unity. Their speeches were not only
informative but also inspiring, encouraging their peers to reflect on the true
meaning of independence.
Adding to the patriotic fervor, the students of Grades 7 and 8 performed
melodious songs that resonated with the spirit of the occasion. Their
performances were a tribute to the nation, evoking a sense of pride and love for
the country.
One of the key highlights of the day was the Investiture Ceremony, where the
newly elected Student Council members were formally entrusted with their
duties. This ceremony marked the beginning of their journey as leaders, where
they pledged to uphold the values of the school and work diligently for the
betterment of their peers.
In conjunction with the Investiture Ceremony, teachers were appointed as house
in-charges, taking on the responsibility of guiding and mentoring students in their
respective houses. This collaboration between teachers and students is expected
to foster a stronger sense of community and teamwork within the school.
The election of the Student Council from all four houses was a democratic process
that encouraged students to actively participate in the governance of their school.
The newly elected council members, representing their houses, are now set to

Fire Mock Drill

A fire drill was conducted at Sanskar Vidya Sagar to ensure the safety and preparedness of both students and staff.The drill took place during school hours with all classes participating. The drill was completed efficiently with the entire school evacuated in specified time duration. Overall the fire drill was a success reinforcing the importance of preparedness. The drill was conducted successfully under guidance of Fire Department , Nagpur.

Shiksha Saptah: Uncovering Hidden Talents

Shiksha Saptah, an initiative by CBSE, aimed to discover the hidden talents of
students through a variety of activities organized during school hours. The weeklong event provided a platform for students to explore and showcase their
abilities across different fields.
1. 22/7/2024 *Teaching Learning Material:* Students created innovative
educational tools, enhancing both their creativity and understanding of teaching
methods.
2. 23/7/2024 *Foundation Numeracy and Literacy Day (Kindergarten Activity):*
Young learners participated in engaging activities to strengthen their basic
numeracy and literacy skills.
3. 24/7/2024 *Sports Day:* A day dedicated to physical fitness, where students
demonstrated their athletic skills and enjoyed various sports competitions.
4. 25/7/2024 *Cultural Day:* This day highlighted the rich cultural diversity of
our school, with students performing traditional dances, songs, and skits.
5. 26/7/2024 *Skilling and Digital Literacy Day:* Students explored various
trades and digital literacy skills, preparing them for future technological
advancements.
6. 27/7/2024 *Eco Club:* Activities focused on environmental awareness and
sustainability, encouraging students to adopt eco-friendly practices.
7. 28/7/2024 *Community Involvement Day:* Students participated in

Shiksha Saptah was a resounding success, offering students a comprehensive

Fostering Reading Habit

The recent interactive session aimed at fostering a reading culture among
students was an enriching experience, featuring esteemed guests Jitendra Nayak,
Ravindra Paranjape, Ashish Sharma, and Reema, all associated with the Vidarbha
Literary Fest. The speakers underscored the importance of disconnecting from
mobile devices and embracing the joys of reading. They shared insights into how
reading can broaden horizons, enhance critical thinking, and stimulate creativity.
Additionally, the guests encouraged students to write essays about the Nagpur
Metro, highlighting its positive impact on daily life, thus blending the art of
writing with practical, local experiences.

Vanmahotsav Celebration at Sanskar Vidya Sagar

On July 6, 2024, the Science Department of our school organized a vibrant and
educational program to celebrate Vanmahotsav, an annual tree-planting festival. The
event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of trees and environmental
conservation among students. The day was filled with various activities and presentations
that highlighted the theme of ecological preservation.
Event Highlights
*1. Tribal Dance by Grade 8 Students:*
The program commenced with an energetic tribal dance performance by the students of
grade 8. Dressed in traditional attire, the students showcased the rich cultural heritage of
indigenous communities and their close connection with nature.
*2. Speeches on Environmental Destruction:*
Following the dance, thought-provoking speeches were delivered, emphasizing how
human activities have led to the destruction of the ecosystem. The speakers passionately
addressed the urgent need to take collective action to protect our environment for future
generations.
*3. Grade 7 Students as Tribes:*
The students of grade 7 participated by dressing up as tribes, symbolizing the harmonious

*4. Face Painting Like Animals:*
In a creative display, students had their faces painted to resemble various animals. This

*5. Lazium Performance by Grades 7 and 9:*
Students from grades 7 and 9 performed a lively Lazium dance, a traditional Indian folk
dance that combines rhythmic movements with the use of wooden sticks. Their

*6. Saplings Brought by 8th Graders:*
The students of grade 8 brought saplings to the event, demonstrating their commitment

*7. Slogans and Flash Cards by Grade 5 Students:*
The younger students of grade 5 contributed by creating slogans and flash cards
advocating for tree plantation and environmental conservation. Their creative

atmosphere.
*8. Plantation by Principal Ma’am:*
The highlight of the event was the plantation activity led by our esteemed Principal
Ma’am. She planted a sapling, setting an example for the entire school community to

the environment.
*9. Rally – Vruksh Dindi:*
The program concluded with a rally named “Vruksh Dindi,” involving students from
grades 5, 7, and 8. The rally saw enthusiastic participation as students marched with

awareness throughout the school premises.

On July 5, 2024, an enlightening and interactive session on traffic rules and safety was conducted at Sanskar Vidya
Sagar for the students of grades 7 and 8. The session was graced by the presence of Head Constables Atul Agarkar
and Devchand Shahu, along with PSI Vijay Nirbhaya, who shared their extensive knowledge and experience regarding
traffic regulations and their significance.

International Yoga Day

*Sanskar Vidya Sagar Celebrates International Yoga Day with Special Assembly Focused on Women’s Empowerment*

On June 21, 2024, Sanskar Vidya Sagar campus celebrated International Yoga Day with a special assembly emphasizing Women Empowerment. The event was a blend of inspirational messages and practical activities, aiming to highlight the importance of yoga in fostering physical and mental well-being.

The assembly began with a discussion on the significance of International Yoga Day. The speakers highlighted how yoga, an ancient practice, contributes to holistic health and can play a crucial role in empowering individuals, particularly women, by enhancing their physical strength, mental clarity, and emotional resilience.

A thought for the day was delivered, resonating deeply with the theme: “Empowered women, empowered world.” This message set the tone for the day’s activities, underscoring the importance of women’s empowerment in achieving a balanced and progressive society.

Following the inspirational thought, special yoga sessions were conducted class-wise. Each class engaged in yoga routines tailored to their age group, focusing on postures and breathing techniques that promote health and well-being. The instructors emphasized how regular yoga practice can build self-confidence and inner strength, essential attributes for empowerment.

A dedicated yoga session for teachers was also held, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping young minds. This session aimed to equip educators with stress-management techniques and promote their overall well-being, enabling them to serve as effective and inspiring role models.

The event concluded with a reflective discussion, reinforcing the day’s themes and activities. Participants were encouraged to integrate the principles of yoga and empowerment into their daily lives. Sanskar Vidya Sagar’s celebration of International Yoga Day highlighted yoga’s benefits and underscored the vital role of women empowerment in creating a more equitable and healthy society.

Interactive Session

An interactive session was organised for the students of grade 9th and 10th on 20th June 2024. This session was held in the KDK campus auditorium.

The guest speaker for the interactive session was Mrs Saumya Sharma IAS. She is presently serving in the Maharashtra cadre as Chief Executive Officer of Nagpur Zilla Parishad. The programme started with the lighting of lamp before goddess Saraswati to ward off all darkness of ignorance and brighten the learning horizon.
Soumya Maam shared her success story from childhood to what she has achieved today. Maam was the bright student in the school, born and brought up in New Delhi. She belonged to a family of doctors and was expected to pursue the same career. She started studying in Science but later went up for pursuing law and thus became a law graduate from National Law School New Delhi. In the final year of her as a law graduate she came across the seniors preparing for civil services it is then that the flame kindled and she decided to go for the Union Public Service Commission.

From childhood she was a brilliant student and was always updated with the current happening by means of newspaper, she said that reading newspapers also was one aspect for her moving to pursue civil services.She urged students to read newspapers to be updated with all happening and all aspects of life.
When she decided to pursue civil services she was left with very little time , it was her dedication, determination, hard work and her zeal with which she succeeded. She cleared the preliminary exam and during the mains exams after the general studies papers exam she fell ill and was down with fever. Her condition was not good she hardly had energy but her determination and will power to appear could not stop her. When the results were out she was 9th in the All India Ranking. She added that being in civil services specially an IAS she has endless scope to work in different areas

Maam urged and guided the students with the following:
